A Better Way for Moms to Think About Me Time

Me time for moms isn't selfish and it isn't a spa day. A realistic way to make small personal time actually happen.

The phrase "me time" can make personal time sound like a reward.

Finish everything first.

Then maybe you can relax.

The problem is that everything is rarely finished.

There will always be another task.

For parents, that can mean personal time keeps moving to the bottom of the list even when it is something you genuinely need.

A better way to think about it is as part of the plan.

Not every personal activity needs to be scheduled down to the minute. But if something matters to you, it should at least be visible.

Liftora can help by putting personal goals and routines in the same place as the other things competing for your attention.

That doesn't mean every minute needs to be optimized.

Actually, the opposite.

If your plan shows that you have some time for yourself, you don't have to keep wondering whether you are "allowed" to use it.

The point of organization is not maximum output.

It is knowing where your attention is going.

A parent who has spent the whole day handling responsibilities deserves to know that their own priorities exist too.

Even if the time is short.

Even if the plan changes.

Even if the only thing that happens today is twenty quiet minutes. That still counts.
